Dawn McGee

Dawn McGee is a Nutrition Evangelist, Global Cuisine Expert, and creator of the Eat, Move & Recharge™ system. She provides nutrition coaching for individuals and workplaces with various check in options for her client’s convenience. Dawn is no stranger to the struggles of body health and dieting. After years of being uncomfortable in her own skin she began to learn about proper nutrition that would give her body and mind the support it needs. Her unique struggles made her want to help others take back control of their own health and live more meaningful lives, thus her nutrition coaching business was born.

After years in business, Dawn decided it was time to update her look and began with her logo. She loved the new logo but quickly realized she had a mismatch between her new logo and her old website. Although she loved her web developer, he was not a designer, and she needed someone to update her website to embody the new look. She searched for someone to fill this gap until a recommendation for Sarah Beth Graphics came through from a trusted colleague.

When I connected with Dawn, I realized this project was a bit different for me because I am typically building the website I design, but I love solving challenges and was flattered for the referral so we started discussing specifics.

We began with a review of what she liked and disliked about her existing website followed by a my design process which included reviewing concept documents with inspiration for a new look. The inspiration I showed Dawn included other existing websites, content placement ideas, and illustrations which all worked with her new logo to expand her branding without reinventing the wheel.

After designing concepts for her homepage, I designed the rest of the new pages for her website. The final product is playful and fresh while offering a clean aesthetic that is clear for her clients to find what they are looking for. Here are some before and after examples.
