Barbara Aridas Designs
Full disclosure: Barbara Aridas is my aunt. And, she is also a client - and a talented jeweler.
Growing up, I knew my aunt Barb as an artist and custom jeweler because as far as I was concerned… She had always been. This is because aunt Barb began her career in the late 70s and I wasn’t born until ‘86. Aunt Barb has been a jeweler all my life.
The same is true for many of her clients. Barbara Aridas has built a serious reputation for designing and creating jewelry that stands the test of time and so does her relationships with her clients. Many have become generational from creating the engagement rings of a couple to jewelry for their daughter and later the daughter’s wedding ring.
The cycle continues with a very important constant; Barbara Aridas Designs’ stunning jewelry marking milestones along the way.
Aunt Barb recently reached out to me with a special request: update her website in style and with her newest work. I was honored to help.
We started by reviewing existing content for what was still true and what needed to go. Then, I asked her a series of ‘getting to know you’ questions to guide the style of writing I would use to write additional supporting sections for her new website pages. While not everything could be used in the website content, I enjoyed learning some of the following questions:
At age 12, what did you want to be when you grew up? (Artist)
When you aren’t at the shop, where are you most likely to be? (Beach)
Once the content was compiled and reviewed together, I started designing potential directions for design. With the design direction approved, and the content complete - I built out all the pages of her website.
